While I don’t intend to post something every day during this week-long book fair, I did want to report that after a safe trip to California a few weeks ago, Frama-12, Hutra, and Aylen Isle are currently resting comfortably on a shelf at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany.
While I’m aware that the odds are slim that my series will generate any interest with a foreign publisher, I’m still excited that I took advantage of the opportunity to send the “kiddies” abroad.
The books don’t just have their own shelf. They’re also featured in the catalog that will also be at the fair. Here are two pages from my advanced copy.

It seemed a bit odd that the books weren’t placed together. Equally odd that they aren’t in the correct order for the series. I can only hope they’re standing in a row on the shelf. 🤣

In Book Four news, I continue to inch toward the finish line. I mentioned in a previous post that I thought I’d be finished by the end of July. Now I’m shooting for Halloweeen.
Writing this novel seems different from how it felt writing the other three. I think I have more “balls in the air” this time. I keep going back to either add “breadcrumbs” or to make sure I didn’t repeat myself. The worst thing a writer can do to a reader is be redundant. Well, probably the worst thing is to write a boring story, but being redundant is definitely up there.
In the future, I might post some of my deleted scenes. I have one between Thaddeus Krell and a new character named Plum that I really like, but if I’d kept it in, it would’ve pushed my word count beyond my goal.
That’s all for now.
Happy writing!

How exciting to see your “book kids” in the catalog! A bit puzzling that they’re not all on the same page–but hey, maybe that gives them more exposure. 😊
Glad to hear your Book 4 update. Halloween is a good goal for a magic-filled book!
I hope you do post the deleted scenes –those are fun to see!
