Sonogram for Book Four

As mentioned in previous posts, The Wild Rose Press accepted my fourth stand-alone novel in my YA fantasy series, Winnie and the “Wizard.” My editor and I have begun work on the first round of edits, so the “baby” is still developing, just like a human baby. I don’t have a delivery date yet. It depends on how many editing passes we need to do.

I also recently got my “sonogram” for my fourth book. You know sonograms. They look like a grainy black-and-white blob that may or may not be cashew, although you can’t be sure. Despite that, the parent-to-be is super excited to show it to you (whether you want to see it or not).

It’s the same with books, except in color (minus the cashew). I’m just as proud as any other future parent and want to show the picture off to anyone who will sit still long enough to take a look (whether they want to or not). Of course, there is one difference, my sonogram comes with a blurb to describe the “baby’s” insides.

Oh and there’s one more difference between human parents and author parents. Authors can already start work on creating “kiddie” number five while “kiddie” number four is still in the “oven.”

In this multiverse adventure, Winnie, Kip and Mikey chase after a villainous wizard intent on stealing a device used to travel between worlds. Their foe will do whatever it takes to reach his goal. He’ll even hold an alien being, preserved in ice, hostage. Now, the race is on to stop him and find the ice block before it melts.

Kip, a wizard in his own right, believes he can use his magical powers to foil their adversary. But then the world’s oracle forbids him from using magic. Can he and the others overcome a powerful enemy with just their wits and luck?
